Rochelle Hurt is the author of The Rusted City, a novel in poems published by White Pine Press (2014). Her work has been included in Best New Poets 2013 and listed as notable in Best American Essays 2013. She has been awarded several literary prizes, including the 2013 Richard Peterson Poetry Prize from Crab Orchard Review, the 2011 Rumi Poetry Prize from Arts & Letters, the 2011 Ruth Stone Poetry Prize from Hunger Mountain, and the 2010 Poetry International Prize. Her poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction have been published in journals like Mid-American Review, Cincinnati Review, The Southeast Review, The Kenyon Review Online, and Image.
