Kristy Abraham

Born in Detroit, Kristy is a Michigan native with parents hailing from Kerala, India. Abraham is a 2012 graduate of Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor, MI. She is a member of the Ann Arbor Volume Youth Poetry Team and participated in the startup of Red Beard Press, a Youth-Owned Publishing House in Ann Arbor. She has been published in two volumes of Knock on Sky and was a two-time finalist for the Ann Arbor Slam Team. In her free time, she enjoys chipping away at her bucket list, eating large quantities of baked goods, and quoting Tarantino films she hasn’t seen. In the summer of 2012, Kristy will be a guest at the University of Michigan Bear River Writers’ Conference and in the fall, she will attend an eight-year direct medical school program at Wayne State University.
